Flirt is a bitch outstanding quality and breed type. Her show career was limited but with great success with many wins to her credit including Res Bitch CC at Sydney Royal 2000 and she is a multiple class in group winner. Flirt is the dam of group one winners BIS Gr Ch Dlarah Puta Spell on You (Spirit), Multi & Int Ch Dlarah Ghostbuster(Casper) and group one & two winner Gr Ch Dlarah Witchcraft (Gabby). Flirts second litter produced multiple baby puppy in group and in show winner Ch Dlarah Rock a Hula (Hula) and Ch Dlarah Bossa Nova Baby (Nova).
Flirts grand & great grand children now reside in a number of countries around the world, including; Finland, UK, Canada, Switzerland, Sweden & NZ. A wonderful achievement for an Aussie bred girl from imported frozen semen from the US.
Flirt is from Australia's 3rd ai litter, that was a collaboration between myself and Mandy Lees (Leesway Kennels). This litter was the first litter which I used the Pat Hastings Puppy Puzzle method in litter assessments. This method has proved and continues to be hugely sucessful.
In addition to Flirt, some of her other siblings were Ch Leesway Copper Penny and Ch Leesway Photo Finish, both achieving a great deal in Aussie show rings and NZ & Aus Ch Leesway Man about Town who was exported to NZ and has had a prominent influence on the gene pool there.
It is very rewarding for me as a breeder and passionate breed enthusiast to read and see the achievements of this and the other 2 ai litters under the Dlarah prefix. The children, grand children and now great grand children having such recognition of success from so many in the breed. Having negotiated the importation of the frozen semen, the sale and exportation of Leesway Man About Town to NZ as well as being reponsible for his care and puppy training for 6 weeks prior to departure has been extremely rewarding to look back at the success of this venture. This venture would not have been the success it was if not for Cheryl Albert in the USA who allowed the frozen semen to come to Australia. The venture was very expensive at the time but has proved to be very rewarding.
